Eat More Berries

More reason to eat berries: they may help keep your mind sharp.

A recent review article from Tufts University researchers, in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, cited promising evidence for brain benefits, mostly from cellular and animal research, but also a handful of human studies.

What makes berries special are the phytochemical pigments that give them their intense coloring.

These potent antioxidants fight oxidative cell damage and, in theory at least, may reduce the risk of cancer and heart disease as well as help keep the brain healthy.
